Few Safety Tips and Recall Linked with Crib
The recent Delta Enterprise Inc. voluntarily withdrawal of faulty cribs and infant deaths linked with the cribs death led to a rash of worry and panic among the parents of newborn babies.
According to the special investigation conducted by Chicago Tribune, this recall may affect millions of families including a recall of 2 million faulty cribs. It further added that although the recalled cribs are not available for consumer purchase but many times cribs are reused and there is high possibility that the affected cribs may have been sold online. The faulty cribs were made from 1995 to 2008 from Delta, one of the largest distributors of cribs in the world.
Although, Delta and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission noted that recalled resulted from the death of three small children who were asphyxiated due to the crib’s malfunction of drop side. However, a closer investigation by the Chicago Tribune discovered that the company had a long history of crib malfunction.
