Exercise Reduces the Risk of Diabetes
In the past few years, there has been rapid increase in the type 2 diabetes due to obesity and unhealthy diet in the United States. Moreover, consumption of type 2 diabetes drugs may lead to serious side effects.

For example, according to a study conducted by Glasgow University of England, people who are at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes can reduce this risk by exercising constantly for seven weeks.
Dr. Jason Gill headed this study on the behalf of British Heart Foundation (BHF). Tests were conducted on seventy women for seven weeks. These women were divided into the group of two – one with type 2 diabetic patients and the other with no predisposition to type 2 diabetes. Researchers reported that women with predisposition to type 2 diabetes reduced the risk by 25 recent with regular exercise.

For example, Byetta, a drug used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes made headlines for the increased risk of causing pancreatitis. Though FDA declared that it would issue a warning about the risks associated with the use of Byetta it did not issue the recall. However, FDA was aware that six patients were admitted due to the Byetta side effects like necrotizing pancreatitis and hemorrhagic pancreatitis. Out of these six patients, two died.
