According to the 1970, Occupational Safety and Health Organization Act and other state laws, it is the duty of the employer to provide a healthy and safe working environment to its employees. Some public employees and other self-employed workers are not included under safety laws, being administered by the Mine Safety and Health Administration, state agencies and OSHA. It is the responsibility of Three Department of Labor (DOL) to administer and enforce the laws to provide healthy and safe working environment to the workers.
